We didn't make a rule change, but are allowing the contractors to make that call at outside arenas only.

We have been getting that question a lot lately. We only have two or three ladies in the country that will wear a western hat to rope in, with the remainder opting for no hat. This is really no problem unless the qualifier is out in the sun, and we see them constantly taking the caps on and off. Many of the contractors are accepting fashion caps which the barrel racers have made very common. We have posed this question to Resistol directly, and we will share their response when we receive it.
