Heartland Splits & Offers Vegas Qual. to All Aggregate Winners

Over the past three years, the Heartland Finale has grown to be one of the largest, highest paying events in the United States. Scheduled over Memorial weekend, which coincides with the Legacy entry deadline for the Las Vegas Finale, WSTR has recognized the financial difficulty to pay for both events at the same time. As a result, this time conflict has put some ropers into a situation of having to choose between entering Heartland or the WSTR Finale. Essentially, WSTR has been in competition with itself.

This event is too great to limit its potential. Therefore, as a result of the growing concerns over the financial issues involved with entering high dollar roping this time of year, the five separate divisions of Heartland will be produced in different locations. These single Heartland Division Finales will be scattered across a five-month period in the central part of the country, and each division will be held in conjunction with a regularly scheduled WS qualifier. These ropings will be $500 per roper, enter twice, with full go-rounds, a full prize line, and some type of consolation. Entries will be onsite, but draw advantage will be provided to ropers who pre-enter. The Lazy E Arena will still be the WSTR qualifier venue over Memorial weekend with the added #13 Heartland Finale. The other dates are listed below. Watch for the roping advertisements for more information.

Another great idea, keep it up. The oil companies should be one of team roping biggest sponsors.
