Daniel Green of Oakdale, California came into the fifth performance on Sunday, March 9th with a 31-second lead on the “King of Rodeo” Trevor Brazile and a field of World Champions. Not only did Green win his second title and hold off the world’s best cowboys, but shattered the arena record in the average set one-year ago by Brazile. Green posted a 276.1 over 25 head of livestock worth $57,000 and joined the elite fraternity of multiple-time world champions at the 24th Annual Wrangler Timed Event Championship March 7-9 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Okla.%u2028Green had a stellar weekend and used consistent runs, great horses, and world class helpers to rise above his fellow 19 competitors that made up one of the greatest fields of contestants ever assembled to compete for the prestigious “Iron-Man” title. Brazile, after winning his record fifth title last year, finished the event as the runner-up, recorded the fastest over-all go-round time, and placed again in the 5th round for an event total of $41,000 bringing Brazile’s career WTEC earnings to $508,500. Keeping on the west coast, Los Alamos, California cowboy Casey Branquinho took home third place honors and earned $15,000.
